Entrepreneurs of the furniture sector have defined some strategic goals for the next 10 years. Among these goals, it is evident the great concern with environment preservation and offer of raw material to guarantee the sustainability of the furniture industry.
The producers defined as the strategically goal for the next years, the certificate ISSO 14.001, which concerns the environment. Another priority is the conquest of the “Green Stamp” which is given to companies which only uses raw material derived from deforestation.
This concern with environmental issues led SIMA to have a 510 hectares area of reforestation in the city of Ortigueira.
The green and the wood, which are priceless and are a great concern for all the associates of the trade union.
